These terms are the agreement between you and Luminhood LLC ("Luminhood", "we") covering luminhood.com and our apps (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Using the Services
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, you may only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
You agree not to: break the law with our Services; interfere with or disrupt them; attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; reverse-engineer or scrape them beyond what applicable law permits; or resell them without our written permission.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially violate these terms, or if we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@luminhood.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content
You own what you write. Your journal entries, reflections, notes, and other content remain yours.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Services for you — for example, storing an entry so we can show it back to you, or sending the text of a prompt to an AI provider so a response can be generated. This licence exists only to run the product. It ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content you submit, and you confirm you have the right to submit it.
Purchases and subscriptions
Some products offer paid features or subscriptions. Where you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase, billing, renewal, and refund terms of that store apply, and cancellations are handled in your store account — not by us. Where you buy directly from us, we will state the price, the billing period, and the cancellation terms before you pay.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects a renewal.
Not medical, legal, or financial advice
This one matters, so it is stated plainly.
Our wellness, coaching, and productivity products are tools for reflection and organisation. They are not medical devices. They do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Nothing in the Services is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and no part of them creates a clinician–patient or advisor–client relationship.
Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any question about a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in one of our products.

AI-generated content
Some features generate text using AI. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, even when it sounds confident and specific. Treat it as a prompt for your own thinking, not as an authoritative answer, and use your own judgement before acting on it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services running, but we do not guarantee they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a product entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your content.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luminhood will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Luminhood against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these terms or of the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, this section does not remove that right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
